Improve your posts
1-click SEO, step by step: what it does and how to undo it
Press one button in the editor and the plugin fixes the keyword, title, description, URL, alt text, headings, table of contents, FAQ, internal links and tags. How to use it, check it, and undo it.
Time
5 minutes per post
What you need
- A post open in the block editor
- Optional: OnlyAI Cloud connected, for better wording (one AI request)
1-click SEO works through a checklist in the editor, changes what it can change safely, and tells you what is still yours to do. Nothing is final until you press Update, and Undo everything puts the post back as it was.
How to use it
- Write your post (or open an existing one). Give it a title and some text first; the button needs something to work with.
- Press 1-click SEO in the editor's top bar.
- Wait a few seconds. With OnlyAI Cloud connected the wording comes from one AI request; without it, plain rules write the wording and the button still works, only less cleverly. The result tells you which one you got.
- Read the report: the score before and after (for example 54 to 77), what changed and what still needs you.
- Look at the post. Read the new title, description and FAQ. Edit anything you do not like.
- Press Update (or Publish) when you are happy. Not happy? Press Undo everything, or Ctrl+Z.
What it changes
- Focus keyword: picks one from your title and text if there is none.
- SEO title and meta description: rewritten to the right length with the keyword in them, when missing, too long or too short.
- URL: a shorter address with the keyword. On a post that is already published it only suggests the new address, because changing a live address is your decision (WordPress redirects the old one).
- Image alt text: written for images with none.
- Headings: an H1 inside the body becomes an H2, because the post title is already the page's H1.
- Table of contents: added before your first H2 or H3 on any post with three or more.
- FAQ block: questions a reader would type into Google, written from your whole text. Section-style titles such as "What is not confirmed?" are never used as questions. An existing FAQ or "Quick Answers" section is moved into the FAQ block with your words and links kept.
- Internal links: up to three links to your other posts, each in a different paragraph on words already in the text.
- Tags: up to five.
What it will not do
- It does not write your article or add facts. Your text, images and claims stay yours.
- It does not publish or save by itself.
- On a page built with a page builder it sets the title, description, keyword and URL and leaves the page itself to the builder.
- It never adds a link inside a heading or inside a link that is already there.
After you publish: links from older posts
On a published post the report also lists older posts that could link to this one, with the exact words in each. Add link in that post writes the link, and WordPress keeps a revision of that post so you can undo it from its history. This is the part of internal linking that moves rankings most, and the one people skip.
If something goes wrong
- "1-click SEO hit a problem". Nothing was changed that you cannot undo with Ctrl+Z. Try again in a moment.
- You are out of AI requests. The report says when the next one frees up, and the plain-rules version still runs. Limits.
- The FAQ is not what you wanted. Delete the block, or edit it. It is an ordinary block.
