Add FAQ, How-to, Table of contents and Breadcrumbs blocks

How to add and set up the four OnlyAI SEO blocks, what structured data each one prints, and how to use breadcrumbs by block, shortcode or theme template.

Time

10 minutes

What you need

  • The plugin installed
  • The block editor

OnlyAI SEO adds four blocks in the editor, in a group called OnlyAI SEO. Add one with the + button, or type / and the block's name.

FAQ block

  1. Add the FAQ block.
  2. Type a question and its short, direct answer. Add as many pairs as you need.
  3. Visitors see a tidy list; search engines and AI assistants get FAQPage data (switch it off in Settings, Schema & FAQ, FAQ structured data if you only want the list).

Write questions a reader would type into Google, not section titles. 1-click SEO can write the FAQ for you from your text. Google now shows FAQ rich results for only a few kinds of sites; other search engines and AI answers still read the data.

How-to block

  1. Add the How-to block.
  2. Give it a title, an optional description and a total time.
  3. Add the steps: a name and what to do for each.

Visitors see a numbered list that follows your theme; search engines and AI assistants get the steps as HowTo data. Switch the data off per block if you only want the list.

Table of contents block

Add Table of contents. It lists the headings of the post as links. 1-click SEO adds one by itself on any post with three or more H2 or H3 headings.

Breadcrumbs

Breadcrumbs show the trail to the current page (Home, category, post). Use any of three ways:

  • The Breadcrumbs block, with a separator, a home label and a switch for the current page.
  • The shortcode [onlyai_breadcrumbs separator="/" home="Start" current="1"] in any post, page or widget.
  • A line in your theme template (see the docs for the PHP call).

On posts the trail follows the deepest category and its parents; on pages it follows parent pages. The same trail feeds the breadcrumb data search engines get.

An HTML sitemap for visitors

Put [onlyai_sitemap] on a page to list your pages and posts, posts grouped by their main category. Options: types="page, post", group="none", limit="200", order="date". Pages hidden from search, password-protected pages and drafts are left out.
