All in One SEO (AIOSEO) is one of the long-standing WordPress SEO plugins and sells yearly plans in tiers. OnlyAI SEO keeps its features in the free plugin and charges only for the AI requests in the cloud. Here is how they compare.
The short version
- Choose AIOSEO if you want a long-established plugin with a vendor behind it, local SEO and WooCommerce tools in the paid tiers, and a tiered license that covers several sites.
- Choose OnlyAI SEO if you want the link tools, redirects, news and video sitemaps and AI-search features without paying for a higher tier, and want the agents' suggestions in an Inbox.

Where OnlyAI SEO is different
- Features are not locked to a tier. The scoring, the link tools, redirects, sitemaps and agents are all in the free plugin; only AI requests beyond the free daily allowance cost money.
- A ranked list of fixes across the whole site, and ten suggest-only agents with an Inbox. A proposal changes nothing until you press its button (the one opt-in exception is scheduled evergreen renewals on the paid plans, with Undo).
- Search Console and Analytics with one sign-in, and fast Google indexing from your own site.
- Multisite: network settings let a super admin set the cloud key and defaults once.
Where All in One SEO is the better choice
- A long track record and a company that sells support with each plan.
- A tier for each size of business, including a license that covers up to 100 sites.
- More dedicated WooCommerce and local SEO tooling in the paid tiers.
Switching from All in One SEO
You do not have to choose in one go. OnlyAI SEO can be installed next to All in One SEO: it scores your posts and gives you the ranked list of fixes straight away, and it prints title and description tags only once the other SEO plugin is deactivated, so nothing is printed twice.
- Install and activate OnlyAI SEO. The setup guide opens (every step can be skipped).
- Open OnlyAI SEO, Settings, Import. It reads All in One SEO's saved data and shows a preview first. Nothing is written until you confirm, and a field you already filled in is never overwritten.
- Deactivate All in One SEO when the preview looks right. OnlyAI SEO takes over the title and description tags. AIOSEO's redirects and schema settings are not copied, so recreate or export them first.
Copied: each post's SEO title, meta description, focus keyword, noindex and nofollow flags, canonical URL and social card. Not copied: redirects, structured data you set up by hand, and category or tag settings, so check those before you deactivate the old plugin. More in the FAQ.
